Wiley

We are reluctantly looking for a good home for our dog, Wiley.

He has been with us for over 8 years, weighs around 50 pounds, and is 10-12 years old. He is a mix of many breeds, and guessing which ones has often been a fun topic of conversation. He is very healthy, has no physical problems and is on no medications. All his shots are current, and he has been on heartworm prevention and flea / tick prevention as long as we've had him. He has a very gentle nature and a sweet disposition. He loves to go for walks anytime he can. He still loves to hike in the woods, and doesn't mind traveling, but seems just as happy to be at home. He gets along well with other dogs and with cats, and has never chewed up anything in the house. He has been a devoted and loving companion for our family, and if we part with him, we want to make sure he is going to a good home.

Two years ago, our first child was born. He’s a little boy with a great love of making loud noises. Wiley, with his gentle disposition, gets very nervous around loud noises, such as hammering or banging. This is not a good combination. We have no fear of either child or dog biting or hitting the other, we just know that Wiley has been living his days in great anxiety. After nearly 2 years, we have given up on the idea that Wiley will adjust to the noise, and have sadly admitted to ourselves that Wiley would probably be happier in another home. Especially since our second child is due in April.

Please call us or email us if you have questions or if you think you might know of a good home for Wiley

Thanks!
